TESTIMONIALS
Drayton Hall Elementary School 2008
I would like to thank Drayton Hall Elementary School for reminding my daughter, Courtney Deweese, and Tripp Barnhill, a young 3rd grader that I keep after school to get out and get active. In turn, they remind me to get out and get active with them. We make a habit out of finding a range of activities to do together after school whether it is shooting hoops, biking, playing soccer in the back yard or putting up the volleyball net and inviting our neighbors to join in on a game. The benefits of these activities for my children are wonderful, it helps to teach a healthy lifestyle that they can take with them into adulthood, and the benefits to me cannot be expressed in just words. I get active with them and reap the healthy rewards but I also get to see my children learn a sport, learn that you do always win whether you won the game or not. You get to exercise with someone that you love and a memory that will last forever. Thank you again Drayton Hall Elementary for giving me new memories with my children everyday that I will take with me forever.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Deweese
When Parker brought home the information about the GET OUT and GET ACTIVE program, my first thought was 'not another school project!' We started with after-school soccer and I was content to sit and watch...before long, we were playing soccer in the yard as a family and that has lead to walks around the neighborhood, woods hikes, and all kinds of adventures based on Getting Out and Getting Active. Parker has already received her two mile medallion from running club and we have a family commitment to RUN the Bridge in the spring. We all feel better, are happier, and are the best kind of tired at the end of the day--the kind of tired that only comes from GET OUT AND GET ACTIVE.

Belle Hall Elementary School Parent 2007
Hi Mrs. Leary,
Andy and James are enjoying participating in new activities and checking off the boxes on the "Get Out Get Active" checklist. We had fun checking off the box for "Dancing" after Greek dance practice last week! And I'm trying to convince them that wrestling each other does NOT count! Is there a deadline to return this sheet?
Andy thinks that Belle Hall may qualify for new P.E. equipment if students have the highest participation rate. That would be wonderful!
Thank you,
Andrea .T (Parent)
Laurel Hill Primary School 2007:
Hi! Just checking in and sending our information. The students and parents really enjoyed the program. I had parents stop me in the hallway to talk about how excited their children were about the activities.

Pepperhill Elementary School 2007:
The get out and active program has helped me lose weight-7 pounds! I played football, sports in PE class, and I went bowling every month . The get out get active program also made me realize that riding my bike is a good sport for my lifetime.
