To determine the athletes going to the nationals, all 1st place in each event are entered into a regional pool (Region 8) and become eligible for selection to a Regional Team which will travel to Hershey, Pennsylvania, to compete in the North American Final. To ensure fair representation of participants from all 50 states, District of Columbia, Canadian provinces and Territories, a minimum of five finalist are selected from each state.

Region 8 consist of teams from Florida, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky

*Age group 9-10 and 11-12 in 4 x 100 Relays will not qualify for the North American Final*
