Kaleidoscope is the name of the afterschool programs operated by Community Education. Programs are housed in elementary and middle schools throughout Charleston County. Please choose the school on the left for the program that is closest to you.
Our programs strive to complement school day learning and provide youth a safe and caring environment. Program structure allows for individual choices and social interaction.
Children engage in activities that encourage creativity, social relationships, positive self image, and those that are both age and developmentally appropriate. Youth also participate in service learning projects. Community involvement has a direct impact upon children's sense of belonging and lets them contribute to the "big picture".
We welcome parents to visit the program at any time and actively seek input regarding program operations.
